Wow, this shot is just amazing. I also think the heavy blue adds a moodiness to the shot that it would have totally lost if you'd toned it down too much, so I'm glad you didn't :)

I'm going to be sketching this skyline for an apocalyptic kind of picture. I might consider uploading it onto dA, but only if you are okay with that (with credit to the source obviously). Just let me know.

Wow! This is an amazing shot! I love how you worked the HDR to bring out the contrast of our normally dull, gray Seattle clouds.:nod:

I think I was just lucky that day :-)

The clouds on the bracketed photos are more like thin streaks of clouds letting a lot of the blue sky through.

But I agree about the normally dull gray Seattle sky - hopefully this summer will bring some good weather :)

Fantastic! My new desktop image, thanks! Great choice of location and I love the overall blue tone, gives a spooky feel but not too much. Interesting diversity in the buildings too, old, new, and BRAND new... whole shot keeps my eyes moving around looking at all the details, really cool.

the blues could use some desaturation, but other then that this shot looks freaking awesome, nice tonmapping.

Thanks! :-) I did tone them down a bit from the original setting

I tried another software yesterday (Dynamic Photo HDRI) and its Eye-Catching setting was extremely candy-like (though I managed to tone it down a bit). Also it caused some ghosting (people), while Photomatix managed to remove most of it (strangely it left some of the people there - I will have to take a better look at it).

I will keep on trying those two programs and see which one is better for given shot.

Thank you! I tried to not make it look like a raytracing, which was definitely possible with just a small change in settings :-)
